I am inspired by abstract expressive imagery in art and by the natural world we are immersed in. Each painting has its own sensibility and form of expression. Memories, dreams, and a sense of place are some of the themes I work with. Color is a central element in my art that I use to make new form, textures, and patterns in a cohesive way. I make art with a plan in place or work spontaneously, imagining new ways to move through the process. I regard my paintings as something tangible, a part of myself to share with others.
